Poloniex experiences: kudos are deserved

I thought I would chime in here with my Poloniex experiences. I’ve been using them regularly for about 10 months now. I’ve had dozens of buys and sells through them, usually for alt coins using bitcoin. I’ve withdrawn to paper wallets and hardware wallets, I’ve deposited from other exchanges and from hardware wallets, and I’ve sent from Poloniex to GDAX. I’ve never had a single problem with the exchange.

Last year over the summer when every single exchange was having trouble keeping up with new accounts, there were a few days that Poloniex disabled new deposits and had to suspend trading for a few hours. But that’s it. No other problems at all.

Look at social media right now and count the complaints against Coinbase, Kraken with their lengthy upgrade, Bittrex with their long upgrade and new ETH address freeze and inability to deposit ERC20 tokens, Binance locked up for awhile, Gemini has complaints of losing transfers although not to the extent of Coinbase.

Meanwhile Poloniex just keeps plugging along. I think they deserve kudos for that. Everyone complains when things go wrong, but we often fail to recognize when things are going well.

Thank you Poloniex for keeping my altcoin purchases and trades moving smoothly along.

You’re right, none of them can hit perfection. I don’t know the specifics of exchange account number rankings other than Coinbase is the biggest. Makes sense that the more accounts you have, the more complaints you’ll have to deal with.

I’ve never had a problem with any exchange including Coinbase. My primary crypto exchange is GDAX for the low fees and advance trades. Poloniex has low fees and the same advances trade options, but you can’t buy or sell with fiat, just BTC.

So for me GDAX to get bitcoin then send to Poloniex to buy altcoins. That has never failed me.
