In which altcoin to invest?

Dogecoin is actually being used, and has been for awhile. But unlike bitcoin, there is no limit to the number of coins that can be created. So there’s no fundamental basis for its value to increase. Current market run seems to basically due to celebrity tweets and media attention rather than any real value created by supply scarcity.
So in my opinion, this pricing run is irrational and will come to an end at some point. Of course, there’s no telling how long it will remain irrational and how far it will climb based on hype. But the underlying case for bitcoin value is much stronger over the long term.

What about Ethereum?

What about Ethereum?
I like and own Ethereum. Critics will say there is no limit on the number of coins there as well. But it has a different use case than bitcoin, and I think there will be many projects eventually built on Ethereum blockchain.

I read a mainstream investment article yesterday that felt Ethereum pricing has further to run from here over intermediate term than bitcoin. I’ll try to find it and link it.

Here you go. DeFi and other utility tokens expected to drive price according to this analyst.

Thank you so much! So better to buy Ethereum than Doge I assume?

Boy did I whiff in post #2 ITT.

Lawsuit and bankruptcy soon after my post. This after I got their reps to post a few updates here.

I’ll be writing off 100% of that investment against my other realized gains, unless the SEC actually sets up the promised $6M fund to recompensate investors with losses.

No news sincehttps://www.sec.gov/news/press-release/2020-211

I tend to stick to the popular altcoins, like Ethereum, Ripple, etc. I don't feel too confident about investing in the more obscure ones.

Ethereum seems to be a good option at the moment. Analyse the market for a while to see how it has been moving.
I agree, the best altcoin to invest right now is ethereum.
The value of Ethereum comes from the it’s network. Ethereum has a strong fundamental and longer track record. Moreover it has potential and is cheaper than Bitcoin.
