Crypto Mining Operations Uncovered in a School of Massachusetts

A former employee of a Massachusetts town is facing charges for allegedly establishing a clandestine cryptocurrency mining operation in a secluded crawl space at a school, according to police.​

The mining farm was exposed after an investigation into the suspicious power usage at the school.
In December 2021, Cohasset Middle-High School officials became suspicious when they discovered stray electrical wires and ductwork that seemed out of place. Upon further investigation, the Cohasset Police Department uncovered a cryptocurrency mining rig that had been secretly installed in the school's crawl space, illegally siphoning power from the school's electrical grid.
Cohasset is a town in Norfolk County, Massachusetts where the report revealed that approximately $18,000 worth of electricity had been stolen between April and December 2021. This sounds like nonesense and just a other propaganda anti crypto article. 11 GPUs will never use $18000 in 9 months that's $2000 per month. 11 GPUs running 24/7 will use under 70kw per day and that's of they very powerful GPUs that's 2100 kw so unless the school costs $1 per KW this is nonesense.
