Usually they pick a web 3.0 project to invest and when project sky rocket they make their profits and they bound them with the project in a way. However this is in most cases this is just a financial benefit to the company, which is important but not enough to maintain their position in the market. This goes same for the influencers, the brands made deals and influencers promote the product to influence their followers to get familiar with the brand. And the ones who likes the product or thinks its useful purchase the product. In this paradigm followers are not rewarded and the audience is the most important party in this chain.
