What Crypto Exchanges Are Saying About NY's New Inquiry - CoinDesk

Sounds like the major exchanges are cooperating and welcome some sort of security and transparency guidelines. Since most of the large exchanges are licensed and already subject to some regulation, this would seem to more risky to the smaller exchanges along with discouraging any new small exchanges from doing business in NY.

I think this is a non-issue really. Legit exchanges who are compliant with US regulations won’t be affected. And it sounds like the exchanges may have some ability to provide feedback and help steer the regulation conversations.

That’s a good thing in my opinion.
