Today it was announced that the technological giant Sony applied in November of last year for two patents with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. The two considerations are related to new hardware to host and maintain distribution books with blockchain technology.

The two considerations for patent are entitled "electronic node and method to maintain a distributed ledger" and "device and system". In the first, they refer to an electronic device capable of maintaining a distribution ledger that includes multiple blocks and that these are added to the book based on a mining process.

In "device and system" they talk about a device that takes into consideration whether a distribution ledger can only be contributed and accessed by a small number of devices. The device that would allow access to the distribution ledger would be maintained by a plurality of virtual nodes and these would be used to access it.
