Taringa!, A social network known as Latin American Reddit and with more than 27 million registered users, announced that will launch a token that aims to reward users who generate content.

After developing an income distribution system that would grant Bitcoin payments to users that will generate more interactions with their content - in a similar way as Steemit would - the company announced that this program with more than 35,000 users should be suspended due to difficulties and audit techniques, in addition to the future project of developing their own token.

"In December of 2017, we begin to rethink the program to introduce a token that allows the platform to be decentralized and generate a self-sustaining economy based on our current concept," the company announced in its press release.

Paying users for content is only a good idea only if it’s based on quality rather than popularity. Too many fake accounts voting for their own posts to make any system legit.

So much crap on the internet needs to go away. Free info is often worth what you pay for it. Nothing. Or even worse it’s wrong and misleading. Or has a hidden agenda.
